Most Christian music is for WUSSES

Don't get me wrong - it's not like they ALL are...but holy snap, most of them are.  I'm a writer and have gone back to some things I've written and a little bit of vomit comes up into my throat. LOL

Why is it that when we are who we are before God and even before man, that we act like brow beaten puppies running for cover when the door slams? 
I get it, I get it...life is hard.  It's shitty most of the time.  But you don't hear songs on mainstream, every day stations talking about how horrid things are 95% of the time.  They don't spew their verbal vomit of Oh Woe is ME...they just tell it like it is.  Shoot, you can usually tell a christian song within the first 8 measures if you listen close enough - we are predictable. 

Why can't we show people that we are PEOPLE? 
That we deal with idiots, we see, hurt, live, laugh, cry, try, try again, forgive, have a hard time forgiving, we divorce, we remarry, we hurt our families, we fight for our families, we struggle with substances, some battles we win and some we lose...we are HUMAN and even though we are not of it we are IN IT.  We live here.  Sorry to wake a few folks up - but WE DO!  And we also have HEAVEN waiting for us...can't we be a people that they WANT TO BE LIKE? 

Does every person who comes to Christ have to be at their surrendering, broken down, bottom point? 
Can't some of us show them the JOY?  The REAL?  The HOPE?  CHRIST????

Write about love,
Foolish love, 
Write about broken down and struggling love,
Or how about never should have been in love, love
Or you knew better than to think that was love, love
Working things out because you have half a brain, 
Write about who you are and who you want to be NOT who you aren't and who you'll never be
Where you are headed
Who you think you are
Who you serve
What that does for you to know that you are alive and well
Write about what makes you laugh for petes stinking sake

It's like there is this great fear to be honest, truthful and forthright about what life on this planet is all about.  Instead we have to wallow, be afraid, forget who we are, struggle to keep our fricking chins above the waves...and for what - are we not better than that?  Don't we know who we are?  Isn't the bible CLEAR enough for us?

Even David bitched his way through the Psalms- at least he was honest, fearless! He had a knowing, he was resolved to know who he served.  And that boy was BC (before Christ)for cryin out loud.  He didn't even have the promises we have.  He didn't know about the power we have.  He didn't get to be seen as a child, an ACTUAL CHILD of God, seen through the eyes of His own son.  He only had the God of Abraham, Issac and Moses...that God.

So - what's our problem?  Well, I would like to think that it has something to do with what the "powers that be" decide are says we need to hear.  Or it's just that we are a people who settle for whatever crap they are peddling...like we don't know they are feeding us ASH instead of BEAUTY.
